Insurance savings

Many major UK insurers offer discounts to Pass Plus holders. For under-25s the saving frequently exceeds the £180 course fee in year one.

Cover what your test skipped

Motorways and night driving aren't in the standard practical test. Pass Plus is where most new drivers do them first — calmly, with a qualified instructor.

Same calm approach

No test pressure, no examiner. Clinton stays patient, focuses on real-world judgement rather than test technique. Confidence over criticism.

The course

Six modules. Real roads.

All six are required for the DVSA Pass Plus certificate. Mixed and matched to your availability.

1

Town and city driving

Junctions, busy traffic, navigating Poole one-ways and bus lanes confidently.

2

All weathers

Wet roads, low sun, fog, surface water. Reading the road when conditions change.

3

Out-of-town and rural

Country lanes around Wimborne and Corfe Mullen — narrow roads, blind bends, animals, tractor-overtaking.

4

Night driving

Headlight use, judging distance in the dark, dazzle, and rural unlit roads.

5

Dual carriageways

Joining at speed, lane discipline, safe lane changes — Wessex Way, A35 practice.

6

Motorways

M27 access from Poole. The course your test never covered — for many learners, their first motorway hour.

FAQ

Pass Plus questions

What's the difference between Pass Plus and normal lessons?
Pass Plus is a DVSA-recognised post-test course with six structured modules — town, all weathers, rural, night, dual carriageway and motorway. It's only available to fully-licensed drivers (no L-plates, no dual control).
Will it actually lower my insurance?
Most under-25s see meaningful insurance savings in year one — often more than the course costs. Savings vary by insurer; we recommend getting two or three quotes mentioning your Pass Plus certificate before deciding.
How long does it take?
Minimum six hours of instruction, usually spread over 2–3 sessions. Clinton fits modules into your weekly availability — no need to book a full week off.
Can I do it months after passing?
Yes. Most insurers honour Pass Plus certificates dated within 12 months of passing your practical, but some accept older certificates too. Worth doing whenever you're ready.
